Terms of use
Citeware is an independent software catalog. These terms cover the website, listings, URL analysis, Ask AI widgets, and accounts.
Last updated 2026. Questions: [email protected].
Who we are
Citeware is operated at citeware.io. Contact us at [email protected]. We are not the vendors whose products appear in the catalog.
What Citeware does
You can browse product listings, category guides, comparisons, and alternatives. You can paste a public product URL. We fetch that public site, write a listing, and ask configured models for a labeled take. Editors decide what appears on Home, Categories, and Search. You can embed Ask AI buttons that open the reader’s own AI with a Citeware brief.
We do not sell placement or rank. Featured is a catalog flag, not a paid #1 slot. We do not sign in to vendor products, complete paywalls, or fetch gated content.
Catalog information is not guaranteed
Listings, prices, features, policies, scores, comparisons, and AI takes are generated from public pages and models. They can be incomplete, outdated, mistranslated, or wrong. Vendor sites change. Models make mistakes. Editors may miss errors.
Nothing on Citeware is advice to buy, switch, or rely on a product. Confirm pricing, limits, security, and legal terms on the vendor’s own site before you decide. If something looks off, email [email protected] — we may correct a listing, but we do not promise that every page is 100% correct.
Accounts and email
You can create an account with email. We send a one-time sign-in code to that address. You may save listings and subscribe to occasional catalog notes. Do not share codes. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Submitting a URL
Only submit a public http(s) product website you are allowed to have fetched. Free submits wait in a queue. Process now is an optional one-time payment to start sooner. A finished listing can still stay off the public catalog until an editor approves it. Paying does not buy rank, a live listing, or a correction.
Process now is not refundable. See Refunds.
Widgets and third-party AI
Ask AI widgets send the reader to their chosen model with a Citeware prompt. Those products have their own terms. We do not run the chat and are not responsible for what a third-party model answers.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the site, scrape it in a way that harms the service, submit malware or private URLs, impersonate vendors, or try to buy or manipulate rank. We may refuse, delay, or remove listings and accounts.
Ownership
Product names, logos, and copy on vendor sites belong to those vendors. Our presentation of the catalog, guides, and generated write-ups is Citeware’s. You may cite a listing and link to it. You may not copy the catalog as a competing dataset without permission.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Citeware is not liable for decisions you make from a listing, for a delayed or rejected analyze job, for a vendor site that blocks our crawler, or for third-party AI output. Our total liability for a paid Process now charge is limited to the amount you paid for that charge.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
